Community Service is a vital and
meaningful aspect of Alpha Phi Gamma. Our National philanthropy is domestic
violence against women, but we also strive to make a difference in other areas.
Our Chapter was awarded the Alpha Phi Gamma National Philanthropy Award in May
2002. Our Sisterhood has contributed to the community through painting rooms at
the Center for Women and Children, landscaping the Brewster Center, reading for
elementary school students, helping at the Tucson Food Bank, participating in
Greek-wide events and Omega Delta Phi's Boys and Girls Club events. Our
biggest Philanthropy for the past few years has been our involvement with the
Tucson Families with Chinese Children. Every month we get involved with
adopted Chinese Children and help them to understand about their background.
